Here is where you will see any photos that I have included in my various blogs about specific trips!

Koh Samui 2019

One of my favourite meals of the trip! Japanese Katsu Chicken with rice and fresh salad. We found this restaurant in the middle of Chaweng town.

The second meal I had at the same restaurant in Chaweng. Korean Fried Chicken, Kimchi, Maeung-Tang and Coleslaw.

My absolute favourite restaurant, Mr Kai's Kitchen, in Bophut. Suprisingly, this was the cheapest meal out of them all! My go-to here was Chicken Gyoza's and Chicken Fried Rice with an egg on top. Everyone was so kind and you can even watch the chef prepare your food.

I met these two lovely women when staying at my hotel. Both from Mexico, I learnt so much about their culture, heritage and the norms of their country. I will always remember them :)

On my birthday, I was surprised by a breakfast in a separate part of the hotel. Half-way through eating, these gorgeous staff sang 'Happy Birthday' to me and asked for multiple photos. A day I will never forget.

With my breakfast, these waitresses came out with this absolutely delicious chocolate fudge cake, lit with one single candle. What a brilliant morning to start my day!

One afternoon, I decided to go over to these Chinese brothers who were playing in the pool with each other. Language was not a barrier and we had such a laugh playing with the inflatables!

A main temple of Koh Samui is this, commonly known as the 'Big Buddha'. Located in the north-east of the island and quite remote, this is a truly idyllic place with multiple waterside eateries.

A short boat-ride from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan and you will find this beach. A very quiet one situated to the north-north-east of the island, Mae Haad Beach will be the highlight of your trip.

On the evening of my birthday, my family and I decided to visit a restaurant called The Jungle Club. The photos you see on the internet do not exaggerate the views, they look just the same! I could stay up there for days on end.

At Wat Plai Laem, you will find a variety of temples and shrines with different meanings. This was one of the many I got the chance to see as some were closed off.

Our flight to Singapore from London Heathrow, where we would then transfer from Singapore to Koh Samui.

My second temple at Wat Plai Laem of the white laughing Buddha. Clothing here was very strict! I had to cover my shoulders, hide my feet and make sure my legs weren't showing.

At Bangkok Airport on our return trip home, I came across these freeze-dried snacks of fruits that we don't usually see back home in England. As controversial as it is...I do like durian fruit...

Outside the entrance to the Big Buddha Temple, there are also other religious statues scattered by people's houses and restaurants. There are also signs explaining the meaning behind how they look which are incredibly interesting.

The one photo everybody was keen to see. Being in Thailand I knew I had to try this street food delicacy. Comprised of fried crickets, mealworms, grasshoppers and beetles, they were lightly fried in vegetable oil and placed on the sticks.
